The Other Side of the Street – Independent Dialect

Vanishing local dialects, the street slang of our ancestors and their sayings – passed down from generation to generation – are a cultural treasure which should be preserved. "Independent Sound" is a musical project devoted to local dialects and languages which have become the characteristic street language of our cities and show their cultural wealth. Artists who know the most about street language – rappers – have been invited to the initiative. Warsaw is represented by Hades, Poznań by Shellerini, and Silesia by Kacper HTA. Magiera, supported by the young pianist Tymoteusz Bies, is responsible for the project’s soundtrack. The project also features an appearance by Czesław Mozil, who plays the accordion.
